MY BACKGROUND
My name is Adam J. Maddeny and go by "AJ". I'm running for Congress to represent the great people of Virginia's 5th District. I started my career as a journalist covering the State Dep, White House, and Congress then I became a Senior Policy Analyst at the Dep. of State before becoming an Alternative Dispute Resolution practitioner. My MBA and MS in Conflict Analyst and Resolution in addition to BS in Decision Science and Management Information Systems afforded me the opportunity to teach high school economics and middle school computer programming and mediate VA court cases as well as DC police complaints.
MY PRIORITIES
As a candidate for Congress, I am committed to addressing the issues that matter most to the people of Virginia's 5th District. From improving healthcare access to creating jobs and protecting our environment, I believe that we can work together to build a brighter future for all.
Roe v Wade must be restored. Congress has to enshrine women's right to choose into law so that it will no longer be threatened by the whims of nine robed people having different ideas on how to interpret this historic legal case. Fair pay, housing affordability, and food security are basic issues that keep me up at night.

I believe that by working together, we can build a brighter future that provides opportunities for everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.
